Olivier Cornet Gallery, 'Effleurements', group show, 13th March 2016 – 6th April 2016

The Olivier Cornet Gallery is pleased to welcome Brad Gray, Claire Halpin, Miriam McConnon, and Freda Rupp, who have all recently joined the gallery.

'Effleurement', a beautiful French word, first referred to the gentleness required to remove a flower from its stem. Its modern usage alludes to delicacy in touch: whether subtle strokes of a brush on canvas or light incisions on clay, each of our four new artists manages to impart deep impressions with minimal manipulation of the surface of their materials. 'Effleurements' brings together works by Brad Gray, Claire Halpin, Miriam McConnon, and Freda Rupp for a group exhibition.

'Effleurements' is an exhibition curated by gallery owner Olivier Cornet with the assistance of Antonio Gallo and Hazel Shaw.

The gallery would like to invite you to the official opening of the show in its new setting at 3 Great Denmark Street (opposite Belvedere Hotel and between Belvedere College and Barry’s Hotel) on Sunday the 13th of March at 3 pm. All welcome.
