Olivier Cornet Gallery group show at VUE Art Fair (RHA Dublin)

For Vue 2018, Ireland’s National Contemporary Art Fair at the RHA Dublin, the Olivier Cornet Gallery and their artists will present a show entitled ‘Somewhere between perception and reality’. 

Thursday, November 1st, 6 – 8 pm (preview evening by invitation only, email gallery to receive an e-vite)

Friday, November 2nd, 11 am – 7 pm

Saturday, November 3rd, 11 am – 6 pm

Sunday, November 4th, 11 am – 6 pm

Entrance is free.

‘Somewhere between Perception and Reality’ features work by gallery artists

HUGH CUMMINS, JOHN FITZSIMONS, JORDI FORNIES, CONRAD FRANKEL, CLAIRE HALPIN (shortlisted for the Savills Prize), EOIN MAC LOCHLAINN, MIRIAM MCCONNON, YANNY PETTERS, KELLY RATCHFORD and FREDA RUPP.

The exhibition will also feature work by our AGA members, namely AISLING CONROY, DAVID FOX, PAUL JAMES KEARNEY, SHEILA NAUGHTON and VICKY SMITH.

‘Somewhere between perception and reality’ is an exploration of the world of appearances, of surface scratching and the way we have to read between the lines -or images and layers- to get to the core of things.

Sometimes we have to look within to understand what’s without, but are we really looking? In the current climate of fake news and half-truths, maybe art can help us navigate the tortuous roads of reality by asking us to look again and again, to consider how others perceive our world. Then we might see theirs or at least find common ground…
