A French artist term which literally means ‘good to print’. Bon à tirer is often applied in the context of an assigned trial proof. Here the artist tells the professional printer that everything is to his/her satisfaction. In the case of several trial prints, it is the final nod enabling the printer to replicate the exact same result in multiple printed copies (also called successive impressions).
