A much used stone used in art and jewellery throughout the world and in particular in the Orient. It has always played an important part in Chinese art culture. Jade is an extremely hard material and difficult to carve. It ranges from deep green to white, and there are two distinct types of jade. Nephrite (also called green stone), and Jadeite.
