An art term for a painting done on canvas and then cemented to a wall or panel. There are a number of reasons why one would want to marouflage something. E.g. A mural might not be feasible for one or more of the following reasons:
1. It might not fit the artist’s way of working.
2. The final destination for the painting might not be a comfortable place for the artist to work
3. The artist might live on another continent and then it is simpler and cheaper to order a canvas to be posted to where the art is going to be displayed.
