The Norwich School consisted of English landscape artists who were mainly oil painters and water colourists, who were based in Norwich. They were active in the early 19th century and held regular exhibitions of their works of art. The two best known members were John Chrome (1768-1821) and John Sell Cotman (1782-1842).
