A presale exhibition is arranged by an auctioneer and is free and open to the public. With specialists on hand to answer all questions, auction houses put every accepted consignment from its future sales on public display the days before they are auctioned off as lots in an auction. The presale exhibition offers the bidders the grace of viewing the works of art and other collectibles at their leisure. Art collectors would normally want to examine paintings and sculptures up close in order to feel confident that they would want to bid on the items.
