Rasquache is a somewhat derogative Spanish term for low-brow mexican ways of going about life. However, the Chicano turned it into a style or art movement also called “Rasquachismo,” Rasquache art is economical and effective. Essentially, it is all about conveying meaning with the simplest and most straightforward means possible.
Doing the most with the least is a another popular way to describe Rasquache art.
