Russian futurists

Futurism gained proponents several places in Europe. In Russia, artists such as Mikhail Larionov (1881-1935) and Kasimir Malevich (1878-1935) were influenced by modern movements in European Expressionism and Cubism. Russian futurism gained its own flavour as a result of these outside influences and more local influences in Russia.
