A term that broadly refers to an outdoor garden dedicated to sculptures. Often enough, it means a landscaped garden or park, but can also be something smaller such as a roof terrace or a courtyard. As a sculpture garden is outdoors, it calls for the sculptures to be made of durable rather than perishable materials.
Here are some examples of Sculpture gardens, also referred to as Sculpture parks:
Cass Sculpture Foundation at GoodWood, UK.
Barbara Hepworth Museum, Trewyn Garden, St Ives; UK.
Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum, Belgium.
Musée Rodin, Paris, France.
Skulpturen Park, Cologne, Germany.
