Vase shapes

Vases have been with us from the first civilisations until now. There are many types of vases and many of the names have stuck from e.g. ancient Greek. Examples include: Hydria, amphorae, kylix, kelebe, loutroporos, volute krater, column krater, bell krater, calyx krater, oenochoe, lagynos, psykter, stamnos, lecythus, pithos, askos, cantharus, kiathos, rhyton, olphe, pyxis, alabastron, and skyphos.
